Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground venison
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- salt
- pepper
- dry oregano
- dry garlic
- 2 eggs
- 2 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
- 1 medium sized chopped onion
- 1/2 green pepper chopped
Directions
Place in a large bowl the ground venison and ground beef. Add the bread crumbs, salt, pepper, dry oregano, dry garlic ( or 3 fresh cloves of garlic chopped). Mix them with the help of a wooden spoon. The venison tends to stick on your hands and you cannot work/mix it really well. Take a baking sheet. Place parchment paper and start making the meatballs. When you are done, bake the meat balls for 20 minutes at 350 F. In a separate pot on the stove, put some Katerina’s Finest Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Saute’ the chopped onion and peppers for about 5 to 7 minutes, add the tomato sauce. Let it cook for 5 minutes. When the meatballs are done baking, place them in the pot and cook altogether for 15 – 20 more minutes.
You can serve it with mushed potatoes, tortellini or rice.
